How Cornerstone Pest Control collects, uses and protects your personal data when you contact us or use our services.

We are supported by Begin Group Ltd (ICO registration ZC181845), a UK digital agency that operates our website and customer relationship system on our behalf as a data processor. Begin Group Ltd only processes your data on our instructions.
When you contact us through our website form, by phone or by email, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, and anything you tell us in your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry, provide quotes, arrange and carry out work, and keep records of the services we have provided. The lawful basis for this is that the processing is necessary for the steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, and for performing that contract.
If you tick the optional marketing box, we will occasionally send you updates and offers. The lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe option in any message.
We also keep basic business records (invoices, job records, correspondence) under our legal obligations and legitimate interests in running the business.
Enquiry and customer data is held in our customer relationship system, operated for us by Begin Group Ltd on the HighLevel platform. HighLevel Inc is based in the United States; transfers are safeguarded by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and standard contractual protections. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which also counts visits and page speed for us through its cookieless web analytics, and our email runs on Microsoft 365. Each of these providers acts as a processor or sub-processor with appropriate security and contractual protections in place.
If you agree to analytics, two measurement tools also process website usage data for us: Google Analytics, which counts how pages are used, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through a page so we can find confusing pages. Google and Microsoft act as our processors for this and may transfer data outside the UK under standard contractual protections. Both are off unless you switch analytics on, and they share one choice because they answer the same question about how the site is used. Clarity is set to mask all text before it leaves your browser, so what you type into our contact form is never sent to it, and whatever you choose we always tell Microsoft you have not agreed to advertising storage. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, and our cookie policy sets out exactly what each one stores.
One measurement tool runs without asking, and it is worth saying which and why. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and how quickly pages load, for every visitor. It sets no cookie and stores nothing at all on your device, so there is nothing for you to consent to being stored, and it is not part of the cookie banner. It tells us how many people visited a page, roughly which country they were in, what kind of device they used and how fast the page was. It cannot follow you between visits, it cannot follow you to another website, and it never sees your name or anything you type. Your IP address is used to work out the country and is not kept. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: knowing how many people read the site, and whether it is fast enough, without tracking anybody to find out.
Enquiries that do not become customers are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Customer records are kept for 6 years after the last service, in line with legal and insurance requirements, and then deleted.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
